President's Physical Fitness Challenge |
The President’s
Physical Fitness Challenge is an optional program that promotes
physical activity & fitness. Read the Orange County Register's
coverage of Bathgate's Kickoff of the challenge. It recognizes all
students in grades 1-5 for their level of fitness in 5 events:
Challenge Days are May 25 – June 4. Please read or use the following materials to help us all get fitter. |

Character Counts |
Bathgate
encourages children to focus on good character, making smart
choices, and developing core ethical values. Throughout the year, we
focus on a specific trait and work with students to define and
practice the character trait of the month, thus building a Community
of Character. Spring brings the following Character Counts Traits:
Teachers, staff and noon aides will reward these traits by distributing tickets that the students may submit in a weekly drawing for prizes. For ideas on how to reinforce character within your family, visit www.charactercounts.org. Contact chairperson Debbie Ensign at c21deborah@aol.com. |
